“My music educational career began in fifth grade when there was the announcement for students who were interested in signing up for band, and I had my heart set on a flute,” she told Huffington Post contributor Rod Berger. “I wasn’t able to get a flute that year but participating in the band, being a part of something that was bigger than me was so impactful that I continued on through college.”
Robinson graduated magna cum laude with a master’s degree in education with a concentration in music from the University of Bridgeport and holds a sixth-year certificate in educational leadership from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield.
Her passion for music has led to her current positions as the director of performing & visual arts for Bridgeport Public Schools and the local program director for Turnaround Arts: Bridgeport.
